We're pleased to invite members and guests to an in-person event focusing on Legionella risk management, bringing together expert speakers to explore both regulatory requirements and practical case studies from industry.
This session will examine the importance of effective Legionella risk assessment and control, highlighting current standards, compliance requirements and real-world experiences from a variety of sectors.
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival, with sandwiches provided following the presentations.
All are welcome, although places may be limited.

Legionella Risk Assessments and BS8580-1:2019

Legionella risk assessments have been a requirement for many years, but the quality and consistency of these assessments can vary significantly.
This presentation will explore the need for Legionella risk assessments, how they are required under current legislation and guidance, and the standards set out in BS8580-1:2019. Attendees will gain a better understanding of what should be included within a compliant risk assessment and how to review existing assessments to determine whether they meet recognised best practice.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles: Legionella in Vehicle Wash Systems

Nick will present a series of case studies examining Legionella risks in vehicle wash systems across the mining, oil and gas, and rail industries.
Drawing on examples from Australia, the Middle East and the UK, the session will explore the challenges associated with managing Legionella risks in these environments and the lessons learned from real-world investigations and control measures.
